Versa Carry: Holstering a Gun By the Barrel

Touted as the most versatile inside the waist band holster, Versa Carry offers an innovative way to concealed carry every day. How you ask? These holsters hold the gun in place from the barrel.

But what does this mean for you? It means you can totally trick out that firearm (lasers and what have you) and won’t have to utilize multiple gun holsters. Also, you can interchange it with handguns of the same caliber. If they have the same barrel size, only one Versa Carry product should need to be used.

Features include:

  • Ambidextrous
  • Works with every accessory combination
  • Works with most guns of the same caliber
  • Less holster bulk
  • Perfect for concealment
  • Easy breezy on/off clip
  • Made of Kydex

Still relatively new, the Versa Carry has already been reviewed in a couple of places. Check out the Average Joe’s Handgun Reviews, the Armory Blog, Gun Nuts Media and Shooting Illustrated.

Although lightweight, comfortable and easy to use, the Versa Carry method does have a few areas for improvement. It can’t be utilized with a chambered round and it lacks any trigger protection as of yet. Translation—you had better be experienced in concealed carry. According to the Armory Blog, Versa Carry is developing a trigger guard that remains ambidextrous.

Would you feel comfortable holstering with the Versa Carry?
